My school bus experience 1

Everyone has one primary school experience they would never forget, some even bear a scar for it. Well, this was how I decided to act on the newly sprouting Igbo seed in me 🀧🀧. And I learnt it the hard way that the Love of money is the root of evil😩😩.
I was in primary six and my younger brother was in primary one, my mum usually dropped us off on her way to work, and when school was over, we were given transport fare to come back home with a bike ( the journey was 50naira difference).
Very soon the school brought up a new policy which stated that pupils from primary four and above were to observe prep for about three hours, which meant that I would be dismissing from school three hours later than my brother, and so my parents decided that my brother took the school bus while I continue with the bike back home after my lessons.
Everyday after school, while I walked out of the school gate to flag down a bike, I would watch few of my friends happily get into the school bus, and there would still be a lot of empty seats left. Watching this same thing happen everyday, and with the abundance of wisdom I inherited from my forefathers King Solomon and coupled with the Igbo gene in me gave me sleepless nights, I kept thinking about how I could save my 50 naira everyday and also help the school bus occupy some of its free seats.
The next day during school hours, I drafted out my plans and weighed my chances, since there was no teaching during that period, most teachers would have already left for their various homes, leaving behind just few who were on duty. I planned that as soon as the bell was rung, I'd hurriedly occupy the back seat, where no one could See Me, and since my best friend lived very close to me, I'd just drop off with her. It felt like a good plan, I felt fulfilled 😎 😎.
My plan went smoothly with no interruption, and it went on for almost a whole term, until one day when the school bus broke down and I didn't know where we were, it was already running late, and I knew my parents would be so worried and would start calling around, I began to have serious tachycardia and I just prayed my parents wouldn't call the school. When every child in the bus saw the opportunity to spend more time to play and have fun, I just sat down at my back seat thinking of my end and how I would explain all I had been doing with all the 50 naira that was given to meπŸ˜©πŸ˜žπŸ˜πŸ˜–.
