MY HORROR MOVIE EXPERIENCE PART 2

I knelt, my pain receptors were ready to receive. I already planned that once the second strike comes, I would just faint.

That was when I heard something even scarier than the beating I was anticipating.
He started praying. From the bottom of his heart. I could hear the fear in his voice and how hard he tried to hold back tears.

"lord she's your daughter and she's just an innocent girl, please save her! Father save her lord!"
He kept going on and on and repeating the same kind of words.

Haeeewwww!!!
Sinus tachycardia!

After praying, see tears in my eyes, catarrh, everything.
He told me to get up, go to the car and wait for him. I waited for him in the car, wondering what he was doing behind me.
As soon as he got to the car, he asked me to delete all the pictures. I was swiping through those pictures, staring at my foolishness, and hitting the delete button. He didn't say a word throughout the ride. No ride in my life can ever beat how awkward that ride was.

As soon as we got home, he entered his room and locked himself up. Immediately my mum came to welcome us, she noticed the atmosphere, held my hands, and pulled me to the room.

'what happened' she asked.

"mummy, I don't know, I don't know. I only sat on daddy's chair to take pic..."

Before I could finish the sentence, she grabbed her chest.

" Jesuuuuuussss!!" she screamed
"Obara Jesussssss!!"

I couldn't even hold myself, I nearly flooded the room with tears.

"ngwanu don't cry, don't cry," she said

She held my hands and started praying with me. Saying similar things my dad also said.

After she finished. I kept asking her what happened.

"Your father didn't tell you that you weren't supposed to sit down on that chair??
Did you see him sit on that chair??" she kept asking

"No mummy, Nooooo" I said with tears.

Omoooo* see cryyyyy

"don't worry, I know that you've never killed anybody, you've never hurt anybody, nothing would happen to you," she said

It was then that my mind decided to remind me of times in church when I hear things like, killing must not involve using a gun or knife, you can kill people with your words.

Haaaeeeewwwwww.

I ran to flood that place with tears. My eyes nearly popped out.
Then my sister got back home to find me crying. She asked me what happened and I explained everything to her.

And for the first time, I got a different reaction. She burst into very loud laughter.
"Daddy and mummy!! Drama king and queen!!" she said as she continued laughing

"Please clean your face abeg, are you not a Christian?
Don't you believe in God?
Don't you believe that all power belongs to God?
Don't you believe that you are a child of God?
Do you know how much God loves you and you're scared of these trivial things"?
She spoke to me and shared some scriptures with me.
That was everything I needed.
It was like seeing a rainbow at the end of a mighty storm.
She asked me to go back on my knees to God and talk to him sincerely. Even apologize to God for being scared.

People of God, I woke up the next morning ohh, my God does not flop, he does not wear flip flop!

Now the reason for the drama;
My dad was the first and only Igbo man that had ever risen that high for that long. There was a track record of people dying when they got to that position. Or coming down with stroke or one chronic illness or the other. Now, someone had sternly warned my dad never to sit on that seat, throughout his years in that office till his retirement, he never sat there.

When we talked about it recently, he said that even when he had interviews, he never sat on that seat. Even when he had top visitors, he never sat there.
That's really tiring.
Thank God for the things I know now, I don't have to live in so much fear!
The world is scary, in or out of Nigeria, but my protection is in God.
His love has made me so confident that I feel like strolling to that office to twerk on that chair.

Moral lesson: know God's word and know peace ✌️
